Book Introduction
Concrete pavement has always been welcomed by contractors and employers for coverage of surfaces. This product’s good reputation has been shaped following features such as high durability and the possibility of benefiting from various designs and colors. Moreover, if the impermeability against high humidity is added to these features, it will be specified why the use of concrete pavement in hot and humid regions is substantially higher.
However, the use of substandard materials, incorrect execution methods, and disregard for the principles of proper design and installation can prevent the benefits of concrete paving, thereby increasing the long-term costs of employers while reducing the quality of the built space.
The book fundamentals of design and installation of concrete pavement have been written, bearing in mind the importance of such discussion. In seven chapters, Mr. Ghaedi and Mr. Bakhsh Tarshaei have presented topics such as marking blocks, types of cuts, details of porcelain blocks, methods of preparing paving installation, and implementing various designs and end the book by reviewing new research and studies in this sphere.
Reading this book is recommended to contractors, employers, designers, consultants, and all people interested in designing and executing concrete paving.
